Our 2nd game of the season saw us at Boltons Bench playing Lyndhurst and Ashurst C.C.and a first appearance for us by Bradley Harding. Pilgrims batted first with Ryan and Craig doing the honours. Ryan (13) unfortunately being bowled in the 4th over with the score on 17. Sam joined Craig at the crease and took the score up to 85 before Sam (27) also got bowled.Lawrence(4) came in and was soon out after being caught.Craig and Simon G then set about the bowling and in eight overs put on over 70 runs before craig (63) got caught. Simon and Trevor continued with the run getting before Simon (97) tried a reverse sweep and got out to a catch in the the deep just three runs short of his century.Trevor went on to make 28 before being bowled and the Pilgrims ended up on 267-7 after 40 overs. After tea it was Lyndhurst's turn to bat loosing thier first wicket with the score on 13. M.Chauhan (81) and K.Cresswell (48) were Lyndhurst's main run scores and with runs being scored steadily Lyndhurst fell 24 runs short after their alloted 40 overs.A big thank you to all our supporters at the game it means a lot to all the players and well fielded Bradley. |
